The twenty-first century is characterized by the intensive development of high technologies. The Fourth Industrial Revolution, associated with the development of artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud computing, additive technologies, augmented reality, and others, has significantly exacerbated political and economic competition between countries in the emerging multipolar world. The crisis of social and humanitarian knowledge, manifested in the gap between the rapidly growing level of scientific and technological development and the slowly changing level of development of human science and society, to a certain extent hinders the implementation of an innovative breakthrough, which threatens to ensure the national sovereignty of the state. Against the background of globalization, the economy of the information society is only taking shape, so the issues of strategic thinking of development actors come to the fore. The functions of humans and technologies in the digital economy should and most likely will be reviewed. It is necessary to determine who is the subject and who is the instrument. A balance must be found between economic benefits and human self-worth. The unprecedented speed of development of the latest technologies is fundamentally changing everyday life. Both the business environment and the political environment are changing under the influence of innovation. Whereas 20 years ago, the system of social, economic and political relationships between members of society was transformed by the popularization of electronic means of communication and the use of microprocessor power to solve routine computing tasks, today a set of advanced technologies that lead to the modernization of social patterns is combined into the concept of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the context of such accelerated scientific and technological progress, strategic thinking, as a tool for effective management of social structures, adapts to the requirements of a new, high-tech reality. The purpose of this article is to examine the globalization transformations of strategic thinking in the context of the trends of the fourth industrial revolution.
