In scientific literature, both in economic and socio-humanitarian sources, labor and creativity are often not separated, and where these concepts are used separately from each other, their immanent content, especially their economic content, is not revealed. There is no question of what generic concept they belong to. This generic concept is obviously human activity in general, as a set of conscious actions of various individual organs aimed at achieving a certain result. Moreover, the most important organ of human action is the mind, and its more or less effective functioning. In this regard, we recall F. Engels’ interpretation of the meaning of theoretical reasoning and G. W. F. Hegel’s view on the relationship between such philosophical categories as «rational» and «actual». Let us recall this connection in F.’s interpretation. Engels: «Everything that is real is reasonable, everything that is reasonable is real» [1]; especially in human society, in which everything is created by reason, but not everything is reasonable, although it is true. Reason lies in the outcome of human activity. This activity does not exist outside of him, although an individual may carry it out unconsciously, unreasonably, or, in any case, realize its actual consequences belatedly, and with considerable delay. We should not forget that human activity is multifaceted and diverse, but it always manifests itself in the creation of something or someone. In society, there are two main groups of human creative activity: labor and creativity. The question is whether there is an insurmountable wall between labor and creativity, or whether they interact with each other. Considering the dynamics of human relations, one comes to the conclusion that both work and creativity transform into each other under certain conditions: creativity becomes saturated with labor characteristics and turns into creative work, and individual work often takes on the features of creative work. The dialectics of these concepts in their dynamic aspects are explored in this article.
